We are increasing the spacing between Jira's navigation sidebar and vendor applications by 20px. This is a short-term fix to ensure that our sidebar does not interfere with how vendors want to build their embedded products.
Why this change?
We are in the process of updating the padding of the navigation UI so that there is more flexibility in how 3rd party apps want to build their product interface. 20 pixels will be added to the sidebar so that there is increased spacing between Jira's navigation UI and the vendor app's respective UI. This is purely a cosmetic change and should not impact any functionality built by vendor applications.
When will this happen?
This change will impact all apps who are currently utilizing Jira's navigation UI. We will start rolling this out incrementally on 22 Aug 2019 and expect to be fully released by the end of August.
