App Week ’23 is the place to try new developer platform features, learn best practices for enterprise-grade Cloud apps, and discuss all things Open DevOps. Building on the excitement of our Agile & DevOps conference, Unleash, we're highlighting the role of apps in end-to-end Agile and DevOp solutions, plus apps of all kinds in the enterprise.
This year, we're featuring two tracks: Cloud apps for enterprise and Open DevOps.
- Cloud apps for enterprise
- Apps for enterprise customers must meet a high bar – complex functionality, top-level compliance and security, and reliability. We'll show you how to meet these customer needs using the latest features and techniques including Forge and Connect.
- Open DevOps
- Integrations are key to shipping modern software. Learn how to bring third-party SaaS apps into the workflows of Atlassian customers, working side by side with the Atlassian platform team.
The deadline to apply is December 19, 5 pm US Pacific Time, so be sure to get your applications in before then! Up to three individuals per company may attend, but each attendee must submit a separate application in order to be considered. Tips for applying
The selection committee is looking for partners who are planning to to launch an app in the next few months, who will particularly benefit from the hands-on help provided during the event. Be sure to include details about your use case to help the selection committee fully evaluate your application.

Who is App Week for?
Developers, tech leads, and those who are ready to get hands on with writing code. Applicants should have an app in mind that you want to build or improve on during your time at App Week. In your App Week application, outline your development goals and demonstrate how these goals tie into the shift to Cloud or Open DevOps.
What can attendees expect during the event?
Being able to get hands on help from Atlassian engineers in small group sizes, to keep the quality of interaction high. You will also gain exposure to new features like Forge mobile, and learn new patterns for getting the most out of Forge. You will have the chance to get guidance on building SaaS integrations, and quality time to meet and converse with Marketplace peers and Atlassians.
When will I know if I have been selected to attend App Week?
Application closes: Dec 19, 2022 5 pm Pacific Time
We will send out decisions on the first round of attendees for App Week by: Dec 22, 2022 5 pm Pacific Time
Confirmations from attendees due: Jan 9, 2023 5 pm Pacific Time
If you do not hear from Atlassian in the first wave of the communication, you may still receive an invitation in early January. Attendees who are not selected in the first round will be added to a waitlist. We will notify waitlisted applicants in early January if they have secured an invitation to the event.
What are the goals of this event?
App Week '23 is focused on building apps that will support customers’ journey to Cloud. We are looking to work closely with developers to have apps ready for customers by our annual TEAM ’23 event.
Will there be a limit to how many developers per partner company can sign up?
A maximum of 3 attendees per company may join App Week. In order to maintain the quality of the event, we can only host 100 attendees at App Week. With such a short guest list, we need to distribute the opportunity fairly.
Will there be a waitlist, in case there are cancellations?
Yes, there will be a waitlist. After the application period has closed, we will select 100 attendees, and the rest of the applicant pool will be added to a waitlist. If any selected attendees do not accept the invitation or cancel, we will pull someone from the waitlist.
Is there a cost to attend?
App Week tickets are free.
However, partners will need to cover their own expenses for:
- Flight or travel costs
- Hotel costs (we will have a hotel room block, but attendees are welcome to book outside of that block)
- Dinner on nights without Atlassian-hosted activities
Will there be a virtual option to join?
No, there will not be a virtual option. We will, however, record the talks and post them on YouTube.
